  • OPEN STUDIO CLASSES – Friday mornings 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. and Tuesday afternoons $40/session
  • INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION – in my studio. All levels. This is designed for the artist to learn about how to begin or finish a work of art. Long term projects are especially encouraged. All instruction will work toward a professional level of work in the artists own style.
  • ADVANCED FUNDAMENTALS – 2019 This workshop series is for all levels. It builds on each artists individual abilities and strengths, enabling you to develop your creative skills and produce better paintings. It is designed to build confidence and and technical understanding in your painting abilities. Each class will have a lesson/demonstration concerning the primary idea of the day, then a time to practice that lesson. Then, you will work on introducing it into your own painting. It is a combination of technical skill building and artistic theory. You are encouraged to develop and use your own style, subject matter and media. Even though this is a nuts and bolts class in how to paint, it does not teach a specific style or technique.You’ll learn about the underlying art principle and you will make it your own.
    In the end, it is all about strengthening your ability to paint dynamically and beautifully.
  • Summer 2017 Sketching in Quebec City. 3 days of drawing and sketching in the Old City of Quebec. We’ll meet daily and walk to many of the beautiful sites in this wonderful city. There will be lessons and demos. The suggested materials are simple and have a great variety of ways to work. This will be fun and exciting.
  • Summer 2018 Sketching on Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine. Monhegan Island has long been a destination for thousands of artists. We’ll meet daily and walk to many of the beautiful sites on this amazing island. There will be lessons and demos. The suggested materials are simple and have a great variety of ways to work. This will be fun and exciting!
  • 2019 Urban Sketching in Quebec Canada June 11-13 ( Join me of three days of Sketching and drawing the spectacular and beautiful Old Quebec City. There will be lessons and demos and lots of wonderful comradarie!   $300
